Michael Ayre's 108" Yak 55m

This month we will be looking inside Michael Ayre’s hangar at his Aeroworks 108” Yak 55m. The plane will be powered by a 150kv Hacker A100-10 with a Castle ICE 160HV ESC. Providing the juice will be 2S1P 6S 11000mah batteries from Maxamp. Up front will be a Vess Stealth 28B prop to pull the plane through the air! Flying weight is estimated at 30.2 lbs. SWB hardware including servo arms, motor standoffs and self adjusting servo tray.

Michael also made a power system disconnect from 4 large sermo connectors and some 1/8 balsa sheet for a housing. Radio switch is a micro deans connector that disconnects power from the power system batteries to a Castle BEC Pro. The receiver is Futaba’s new FASSTest receiver with plans for adding the telemetry sensors when they are available.
